We will have a take-away menu on the day. The Oysters are served from the garden at Le Vin Perdu. The restaurant will be open as usual for reservations.
An Evening with Mark Hix

Mark will be a cooking supper using ingredients from his local landscape. Mark pioneered a revival in British cuisine particularly opening our eyes to the ingredients on our own doorstep. These days Mark writes and runs his own cooking and foraging courses.
He is a writer for Saturday Telegraph with his own cookery column and author of a number of books on British Food. He also runs cooking classes from his home in Dorset ‘Mark Hix’s Kitchen Table and also ‘Hix and Wild’ - a Foraging and Cooking Day. See more details on his website here

A Keralan Feast

The food of Southern India is one of our favourites - the warmer more tropical climate lends itself to lighter more aromatic flavours with the use of coconut milk, curry leaves seafood and vegetables.
Our Keralan feast is inspired by the food from this part of India - a four course menu of fish and vegetables.
Our drinks list of light and refreshing cocktails, wine and beer. Drinks are not included in the menu price.
Booking is essential.
Reservations are essential. There is no deposit needed for the booking but we do require a 72 hour notice period for any cancellations. Any cancellations made in less than 72 hours of the event will be charged at £20 per person, as will any no-shows on the day.
Due to the nature of this event we’re unable to accommodate any specific dietary requirements.

WHAT’S COMING UP
A Keralan Feast
Thursday 4th September 5.30pm - 10pm
Enjoy the light aromatic spices of Southern India in these traditional curries of fish and vegetables.
The food of Kerala uses lots of coconut, curry leaves, and aromatic spices and of course, with its beautiful waterways, fish is plentiful in their cuisine.
In this supper you’ll start with traditional bread and pickles, followed by three different stye curries (fish and vegetables), a thoran and rice. Finishing on desert.
A welcome cocktail is included in the price.
